I have poco x3 pro, before update working after update not working. I install latest version and get bootloop.

To be more precise, the phone freeze right after the end of the MIUI animation of when you boot the phone

This is an issue that still occurs even with the last release. I'm using a POCO F4 with an EEA Stable rom based on MIUI 14 btw if that can help.

Hamza417 commented 1 year ago

MiUI 14 has done significant changes to System Launcher. I do not have any device that runs any MiUI version at the moment to test the issue. Do you have access to the MiuiHome.apk of MiUI 14 or just the version number?

ARHCOS commented 1 year ago

I think you can find it here (I can't pull the apk from my phone because the app cannot be installed since it's interfiering with Poco Launcher)

Hamza417 commented 1 year ago

@ARHCOS is it MiUI 14 compatible?

ARHCOS commented 1 year ago

I belive so

ARHCOS commented 1 year ago

I also have access to a more recent version but it's an apk pulled from the chinese rom

I'll also be needing a boot log to see why that's happening, it could also be caused by some missing components in POCO devices, and if that's the case it will make the whole efforts futile.

Also, as far as I remember, POCO Launcher (4.0??) is basically System Launcher remake for POCO devices, why do you need this module now. It was needed when there was no gesture supported launcher available for POCO devices.

ARHCOS commented 1 year ago

Even though my phone is running on MIUI 14, all of the cool new customization features like super icons or the new folders are not available on Poco Launcher. Miui laucher also have some features that are removed on Poco Laucher.

ARHCOS commented 1 year ago

And the Poco Launcher icons are just horrible

Hamza417 commented 1 year ago

Those are native MiUI framework and that explains the bootloop. POCO devices don't have the framework required to run the System Launcher anymore hence the bootloop. I don't think I'll be able to do anything now, I don't have any MiUI device on me anymore to test everything.

Does it work on all Android devices, specifically? tecno Or should I try it and tell you the result if you don't know?

It's only for MiUI 13.

Hi where to place this file?

Hi where to place this file?

If you're talking about the module itself, you need to install it via the Magisk app after you rooted your phone.
