Can you provide a full log please without the encode being stopped please.
After Remux properly displays % and estimated times etc.
You mean if you remux before encoding with HandBrake?
We've not heard back in a while so we are closing this issue out. If you can provide the requested details or feedback we can re-open this issue.
I suspect this is just bad container metadata which is causing the calculations to be wrong since we are seeing much larger amount of frames than expected.
Thanks
Problem description:
When encoding an MKV file encoding pass shows 1/1 100% and estimated time adjusts to an absurd amount of time.
I was able to bypass this by Remuxing using OBS to MP4 and then handbraking it.
I think it's a display issue with incorrect estimates and percentages as the encoding pass ETAs around 13 minutes but I know the file will take over an hour.
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.3.0):
v1.3.3
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 19.10, macOS 10.15 Catalina, Windows 10 1909):
Windows 10 1909
Error message text and/or screenshot:
Not available right now as I am encoding. Encoding: Pass 1 of 1, 100% , FPS 160.0, Time remaining 03:15:16 (adaptation of what i would see)
After Remux properly displays % and estimated times etc.
