When testing pools with the experimental option, the test script downloads and builds the modules (and .debs) twice. (To be clear, the test script builds once and the regular script builds again.) It could test or the existence of the ./zfs directory and if found, presume this step has already been performed.
In general, the test scripts could stand to be reworked and improved as well.
