Huge Response time degradation when profiling a Windows service (Windows Server 2012) #66

What steps will reproduce the problem?

After launching a windows service with Slimtune,
its performance (i.e. response time) degrades dramatically.

Request that are processes in less than 3 seconds (without profiling)
now have a response time of 2 to 3 minutes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Although we are new to Slimtune, we tried to use it to profile a fat
Windows-GUI client and found that it work quite well. On the other hand, when
we launched it on the windows service behind the client, then we noted a huge
degradation in the response time.

We would find normal to see a small degradation (eg 1 or 2 additional seconds)
but not so huge as minutes of wait.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Slimtune 0.3.0 in association with Windows 2012 server.

Any help on how this performance problem might be solved would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
