Declutter the page

I had some spare time and so I decided to greatly declutter the current page and make the most important information stand out.

I've talked to a lot of folks around, their biggest critique was:

• Too much outdated information
• Date + Place do not stand out
• General Appearance: Meetup is not taking place anymore.

Summary of changes:

• Throw away old pages and content
• Move footer content to sidebar
• Put all information into a single place

This is already a great improvement – however there's still a lot to do – like

• add proper fonts and styling
• refactor html / js / css mess
• add call to action button for "submit talk" (and explain how to do)
• make sidebar static, optimize page for mobile

like that! could you do a "white-space: nowrap" for christophs name or additional add more space for that sidebar thing. thanks!

In addition, a coworker just changed the font somehow, what do you think?

I just checked it out. Here is some feedback:

• I would like to keep the speaker section. It's a nice collection of all the people who stand up and do something for the community. It's also nice to give new visitors some faces.
• I wonder if we can make the talk archive more prominent? At the moment it's a hidden feature (just change the URL to e.g. http://hannoverjs.github.io/hannoverjs.de/#/talks/01/2013
• I liked the screenshot where you said "a coworker just changed the font". Is this only a mockup? Because it uses a different header and has the date of the next meetup more prominent. I really like that!

I think it's going into the right direction.

I would say it's ready to merge. But still I would highly appreciate it, if we could get it closer to the mockup soon. In particular:

• move the date of the next talk after the introduction text (as in the screenshot)
• or even better, arrange all the textes as in the screenshot ;-)
• add those fine lines between the different sections
• change the font
• write "hannoverjs + use the JS logo"
• integrate google maps card
