Resident Evil 4 Remake Freezing

I'm experiencing freezes/hangs in RE4 Remake after 10-60 minutes of playtime. The image just freezes, I would have to kill the process. I can still hear audio like Leon's breathing.

From what I can tell, it's not at specific locations, as after restarting the game I can continue and not necessarily freeze again at the same spot, provided there was an autosave prior to the freeze.

Software information

Resident Evil 4 Remake, Settings don't seem to matter. I change them multiple times.

System information

• GPU: 2060 Super
• Driver: 555.58.02
• Wine version: Proton-GE 9.10 & Proton Experimental
• VKD3D-Proton version: the one that came with proton-ge 9.10, apologize for not knowing what exactly the version is

In case it's relevant: Arch Linux 6.9.7-arch1-1 (64-bit) KDE Plasma 6.1.2

I closed it firs because I thought it was caused by mods, but I played today without mods and I still freeze sometimes.

Today during the Krauser fight I got multiple graphical glitches and I was able to screenshot them, I am assuming this is related to the freezing/lock-ups because originally this was the culprit. And it is still happening in my case using the latest Proton Experimental.

This problem has been around for a while and seems like a general RE engine problem. I can reproduce the glitches and GPU hangs in RE4 with GTX 1660 Ti and 560.28.03 as well, so hopefully we can find some way to narrow it down this time.

Same here, wanted to play the DLC today and kept running into freezes and weird graphical glitches. Using RTX 2080TI & 550.120-1 drivers. Tried different proton versions but no luck so far.
