The Visual C version of GUP seems to use the Unix file handling part of GUP. This causes lots of problems in file handling.

While packing a directory it stores the directory name as an file.
"gup a test.arj *" tries compress itself.
"..\gup a ..\test.arj *" adds the current directory "." to the archive and every file is stores as ./

Also:

gup a archive.arj calcorp/book* on Win doesn't see the two calgary corpus files book1 and book2

Also b0rks: gup a test.arj C:\*: any drive root directory is not accepted.
