Code cells get deleted when note is saved #1281

Any time I save a note, the code cells within it get deleted. All code cells get deleted in all notebooks. This recently started happening after I synced my Quiver library to Dropbox. If I restore backup from my previous save point, all code cells return except for the notes created today. I have already deleted the Cache.db.

That seems more like an issue with your theme or custom CSS setting. Try "Preferences > Advanced > Restore Defaults".

I have Restored theme defaults and am still seeing the same issue:

@Eldoza1 Reopen Quiver. It could still come from the previous settings.

I have closed and reopened the application. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the application. The only themes that are loaded are the default themes.

However, I did notice that when I moved the Sync library out of Dropbox and into my Documents that the app started working as normal and I was able to save again.

Can you look to see if there is an issue with syncing from Dropbox?

Hmm, in that case I suggest resetting "cache.db" again. (I know you tried already, but this should work.) Follow these steps:

  1. Move your library to where you want it to be.
  2. Quit the app. Delete these two files: ~/Library/Containers/com.happenapps.Quiver/Data/Library/Application\ Support/Quiver/cache.db ~/Library/Containers/com.happenapps.Quiver/Data/Library/Application\ Support/Quiver/index-v2.dat
  3. Double click on your library to open Quiver again.
