Sony dpt rp1/cp1 manufactured 9.2019 locked #145

Are these devices manufactured in September 2019 really locked, can't be rooted? I am going to buy Cp1, is there any solution for this case?

Yes you are correct. I am now off the task. If anyone interested in this, back then there were some discussions about potential exploits in its web browser. Another light is to leverage known Android 4.x security issues.

sony dpt purchased in USA, China, Japan manufactured since September are all locked?

There's no reason to believe they are not. I would be conservative to believe so, unless someone else reported.

I think we are pretty confident all models are locked unless reported otherwise. Please refer to #141 for further discussions if needed.
