Thank you for the feedback! This is very similar to #2067 and I'm going to merge them. I think it's a cool idea, don't know how difficult it would be to implement though
I looked into other options. Currently RiF and NoSurf are the only reddit clients I could find with the ability to disable endless scrolling. RiF is proprietary and only available on Google Play. NoSurf is FOSS and is on F-Droid but is not a normal reddit client, with its purposefully restrictive, minimal nature. The third option is reddit's mobile site, which is hot garbage (doesn't even hide tagged spoilers on the front page) and referred to as "legacy" by the admins.
EDIT: should mention, in RiF the Page Divider option actually does make you tap to load more content. It doesn't load it automatically.
Really interested in this! Is there any hope?
I recently switched over from reddit is fun. One feature I kinda miss is Page Dividers. Essentially, it's a bar that sits between each "page" of reddit posts as they are loaded in. It indicates which page you're about to read and has shortcuts to jump up or down a page.
I know that a lot of people prefer endless content and don't care about the page paradigm. But as a user who still uses the idea of a Reddit page of content to help locate posts and see how far I've read, I would appreciate a Page Divider feature.
To see Page Dividers in reddit is fun, go to Settings -> Appearance and check the "Page Dividers option.
