Immersive mode 3 dot menus cause a weird jumping effect #2710

Slide version: v5.8.5 Android version: 8.0.0

This bug happened in the last update and I was hoping it would be fixed. Hitting the 3 dot menu on posts with immersive mode enabled, as well as my navigation bar hidden, causes the menu to jump madly.

https://gfycat.com/AssuredClutteredDeinonychus I recorded what happened

I can't reproduce this on my Pixel 2 running the latest April build.

If you are hiding your navigation bar with some other system setting/app, that may be the source of the problem. I believe the current immersive mode behavior is designed to show the navigation bar when things like menus are selected. How are you hiding your navigation bar?

I am just hiding my nav bar through my system settings, not through any third party app.

If you have a system setting that gives you system wide immersive mode, why do you need the immersive feature in this app to be enabled? Can you just disable it in the app and get the behavior you're expecting?

Can confirm that this (or something very similar) still occurs in Slide version 5.9-alpha2. I'll try and take a look at this at some point.

Update on this issue. It's no longer doing the jumping thing but the Top bar and Nav Bar do show when more or less any burger in slide is pressed. I'm assigning my self this issue with the aim to fix it my 6.3.
