Crash when equipping deku from sinking lillypad

Description of the crash:

As human link, attempted to climb onto a lillypad from swimming to quickly equip deku. Was able to equip deku as lillypad was sinking (as intended). When transformation finished, game crashed on first frame of deku.

enhancements: instant mask transformations, 60 fps

Could not replicate. When I try to replicate again, it just warps deku link up to the water surface. In my crash, Deku is still below the water surface.

I can't get this to happen for me, and the lack of a crash log makes me wonder if its unrelated to the mask change. I'll leave this open just in case it happens to someone else.
