cleanup the repo branches #67

At the moment the bot is creating a lot branches, and is not following the gitflow pattern.

We also have a lot of features that are deprecated or old, so we should start simplifying and getting rid of those that are irrelevant. Eventually we should keep those features that are in progress.

Before this cleanup we should have a proper test coverage to make sure that all features are working fine, once again.
