you will totally need to provide a test page for this.

i mean a page that i can load in a browser and see the behaviour you are
reporting. this issue report so far contains absolutely nothing of any use in
terms of diagnosing what might be wrong.

Dear author,
if there is something wrong in my code which leads to the issue, could you
please tell me? Or is it a defect? Thanks

what's the chance of you zipping up the page and all the files it references?

i tried to cut you a break and i downloaded the two files you attached, but i
don't have any of the css you're using, and i don't have "util.js". you really
need to supply me with a proper, reproducible, test case, or i will close this
issue.

I noticed that the endpoints can be displayed in chrome when I used jquery
1.4.4, but failed when I used the last version 1.6.2.

thanks for the zip. i just tested the page on chrome on xp, windows 7 and
ubuntu, and it works for me, both with the jquery version you put in the zip,
and with these imports:
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.13/jquery-ui.min.js"></script>
...it also works on IE8, IE6, Chromium on Ubuntu, and Safari on a Tiger Mac.
so, i will most likely be closing this issue. but your other issue, the one
about the mouseenter/mouseexit events - i can reproduce that. looking into the
problem now.
