Describe the script

A keypress detection is a basic requirement in taking inputs from a user for a plethora of applications. These include form-filling, playing games, etc.

Describe the solution you'd like.

Using a simple "keydown" event-listener, a keypress can be detected.

Anything else?

Can detect any key pressed irrespective of the OS.
