[script request]: Script that takes a directory of photos and creates a small .gif from it #1274

Is there an existing issue for this?

Describe the feature.

A script that takes a directory of photos as an input, resizes them to be smaller, and combines them into a .gif file.

Problem/Motivation.

Sometimes you have a bunch of photos taken at intervals and would like a time lapsed view of them. You could upload all your photos / videos to Giphy and do this, but that trades privacy for ease of use.

Possible Solution/Pitch.

This is useful because you do not need to rely on a third party to keep your data secure. Also because it does not require internet connectivity once the script is downloaded.

Anything else?
