1a.Get a SIM card as soon as possible. (There are many providers, but I found lyca to have good call rates for India) 1b.Get a leap card. (Leap card is a travel card to use public transport) 2.Start looking for permanent accommodation in daft.ie Since you are in the country for the first time you will not have any payslip or reference to share the landlord or agent, they will ask for a company reference letter which confirms your employment along with salary details. Have good bank balance in your indian account, they may ask for your last 3 months statement. 3.Get a reference letter from your employer with respect to address proof, this will be the temporary accommodation address. 4.Go to any Irish bank of your choice and get an appointment to have a bank account created.(link provided below for comparison) 5.Apply for a PPSN number online 6.Once you have received your ppsn register yourself with revenue.ie 7.Register yourself with a registered GP 8.Get a health insurance and have the policy number always with you. 9.Book an appointment to obtain IRP. Other details that may be useful,
