Idea: using Interior Camera instead of Interior Look Forward #8

Hi, with this mod I feel much more comfortable to see mirrors. I really like your work.

I am using game controller and I mapped the Up-Arrow of the D-pad to Interior camera(which is keyboard 1) instead of Interior Look Forward(which is keyboard Num5). With Interior camera, I have an advantage that I can shift views quickly from such as Lean out camera to Interior camera. But using Interior camera, I have to give up that being able to be back to center smoothly from left or right mirrors:)

I hope I could use this mod with Interior Look Left & Right and Interior camera view. In my eyes, Interior camera and Interior Look Forward are almost identical without subtle vertical differences. So, I assume that there might be a way to use them together. I am not sure if this feature would be beneficial for others, but it will be very convenient someone like me.

I tried to do with what we can and bound both Interior Camera and Interior Look Forward to the button I use.
It "works", but with obligatory flashing of Interior Camera, then transition into the said camera from previous angle.

I am glad to find that it's not only me who have this issue, and I am sad it's been about an year this issue was rose.

I found a workaround mapping for this as there won't ever be any programmatic changes for this.

I changed my Interior Camera button to do Interior Look Forward, and made the camera switch button working as Interior Camera if it's pressed while I am holding the now Interior Look Forward button.

With this change, you can use the same button to look forward, and to come back to Interior Camera from other camera, hold the same button then tap on the camera switch button.

Even though this post is quite old, I would still like to add that this would indeed be a great addition.
