Feature Request to Allow Images in Signature #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch gasi
2. Run the following command in the execute window:
gas update_signature user_name= signature=<signature>

where signature has an image URI.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I received an error message:
Exception in Tkinter callback
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/lib-tk/Tkinter.py", line 1410, in __call__

UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\uf701' in position
71: ordinal not in range(128)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
No version of GASI is specified on the download. I am using Python 2.6.1 on
Mac OS X 10.6.6.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi,

Would you mind letting me know what URI you're using? Also, are you enclosing
it in quotation marks?

Cheers,
- David
