Yes,the cabbage connector shows Vodafone, meteor, three but no O2 Ireland. Only
O2 uk is available in the options list. O2 ireland can be used through the
cabbagetexter.com website and through the android app

When you say "O2 ireland can be used through the cabbagetexter.com website", do
you mean Cabbage Web Based (http://www.cabbagetexter.com/cabbagewebbased.php)?
I've just tried to send a message there with my O2 account and I've got "The
web based application is not currently working for O2". Which is what I
expected.
From my FAQ at http://mikebl71.github.com/websms-connector-cabbage/faq.html

Why "O2" is not in the list of supported mobile providers?
Unfortunately, O2 decided to play hard. They first blocked the site where Cabbage Gateway was running. And then implemented an extra level of security for their webtexts that requires you to type in a code that was sent to your mobile. So Cabbage Gateway cannot support O2 at present.

The Cabbage Android App works with O2 because it goes to o2.ie directly, not
through the Cabbage Server (even if you tick "via intermediate server").
