feature request: pause/resume #7

Thank you very much or providing this node. I'm using it for sending XMMP-messages triggered by windows having been open for a longer time (depending on outside temperature and some other stuff). I also included functions that supress the XMMP-messages for a given time or until next morning.

As a precaution - according to you advice - I configured the node with msg.loop.maxloops and msg.loop.maxtimeout. Sending my alarm messages again after the end of a quiet phase requires greater values than I would normally choose. Therefore this seems to be the second best solution.

It would be fine if your node would not only be able beeing stopped, but also be able being paused.

Is there any chance to implement 'pause' and 'resume' triggered by incoming messages? These commands represented by payload would ensure compatibiltiy with recent versions. A special control-topic would also be fine.

Hello. Thank you for your kind words. Sure, it is possible to implement pause and resume functions. I'll look into it in the weekend and publish a New version after some testing.
