Questions about adding vehicles without detachable blades/buckets #1

Hello, I have been working on making the D10T from FSMiner and the PR_776 from NONNUS work with the 0.3.5.0 / 0.3.6.0 versions of Terra Farm. I am however having issues getting them to show up in game having the terrafarm functions consistently or if they do they lose the ability to push dirt and the fill mesh is visible all the time. I was just curious if you have tried to do this or, if you have, had any better luck with it? I am willing to help with this project if you want. I am new to editing mods but a fairly quick learner, so some stuff may be a bit advanced for me, but if your willing to explain it I can more than likely be able to do it. Just thought I'd mention that. So thanks for the files for the D6 they were very helpful in getting another perspective on how to implement this mod on a dozer. I have edited them a bit and they work a little better but still have issues with digging very deep. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Well for one, if you pay close attention to FSMiner I just learned today he does not use the dig feature he uses the flatten mode, one thing is if the file is done correctly and nodes are not showing you can use z to see if the terrafarm is correct for the first part, the second part is the node placement if its not correct for the main location of the node or first line it will not show the nodes, as for the D6 to get the nodes to move i used the node that is part of the bulldozer on the arm where the blade connects to the arm not the node on the blade. As for digging deep that is the biggest issue with setting the nodes, HAZMATHZGTV on youtube i got a video showing trying various node placements, the best thing is if your not interested in digging to china is to use the flatten mode. RIght now there is another guy Im working with and me doing nodes for the 3.5/3.6 version. Our biggest issue has been if it operates smooth then it does not leave any material then if we get it to where it leaves material it digs too deep, the nodes need to be close together .5 apart is about the max anything further you will have little mountain peaks as you may have noticed, the collision nodes have something to do with the working area we are all still working on figuring this out. My discord is MCGEE #8633 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGWJHq2J5mc&t=613s video of me editing nodes its speed up. And also nice to meet you and I hope this helps you out. May you have a good day.

Hello, Thanks for the quick reply and everything you said makes sense. I have downloaded and played around with the mods attached to the HAZMATHZGTV videos. From what I can see most if not all of the mods have detachable buckets/ blades. I have been trying to use the second feature, similar to the Hammi, where the config xml is saved as "tractor_catD10" in am attempt to tie the terrafarm to the machine and not the bucket. I suppose that is why I have been running into a lot of issues with it. If you look at the machine.lua, to summarize what it says, it essentially makes the machine use the terrafarm functions but does not tell it to spawn and "fill"/"discharge" from the terrafarm action. I think if I can successfully alter this file (as in this version of the mod it is barely used) this would allow us to use a machine with any bucket and the same outcome would occur regardless of the bucket. What I think needs to be done is to combine the shovel.lua and the machine.lua arguments so as to make the machine complete both tasks 1. Edit the terrain and 2. Produce a proportional amount of discharge without deleting it along the way. I will be working on this, if you have any insight or the other guy your working with, I would love to hear it. Oh and I tried to add you on discord but could not get your name to work. Maybe you will have better luck, my user name is Angeloffury#5217 . I watched several of your videos including your newest and I'd love to try out the d10 from nmc that you converted, not to mention a few others. Maybe we can jump on a server and try them out as well as swap ideas. Let me know what you think and have a great day.
