Login issues #434

The automatic credentials filling seems to skip the email and puts the email in the password section causing email to be left blank. Automatic login not possible because if it.

Use the new build (build 7255) tha tis on the main page readme and not on the releases.

I was having a similar issue, my email field was being filled correctly but the password field was being filled by something way longer than the password, could have been the email address, can confirm using the new build fixed it, thank you!

Downloading the new build fixed this issue after it emerged on launch, but it resurfaced after the Monday GW2 update and has not gone away. Still seems to be a tabbing issue, as the password gets filled with the email but the email remains unfilled.

The number of tabs change if you're using the "-provider Portal" option. I originally only had this apply when using Steam, which would have broke it when using the option without Steam. Use the current beta build to fix that.

If you were not using that option and that build doesn't work, ensure the launcher coordinates haven't been customized under Settings > Guild Wars 2 > Tweaks.

If it's still not working, disable automatic logins, launch GW2, click the center of "GuildWars2" on the launcher and count how many tabs it takes to select the email. It's currently 14, or 15 with the -provider option. If you're seeing something different, I'll need to add a temporary solution for you.

I was not using that option, but just out of curiosity before your response, I downloaded the pre-beta build to see if the Monday update might've rolled back the tab changes on the launcher side (thus making the beta build unnecessary). I got the same exact result, but then when I re-updated it to the beta version, the launcher worked again.

So, I'm not sure how it happened, but I guess some time around the Monday update my Healix launcher version reverted. My best advice to anybody else experiencing a similar issue is to reinstall the beta build.
