Filters and thresholding episode #45

This adds a first draft of the 'filters and thresholding' episode. This aims to introduce manual + automatic thresholding, as well as some basic filters like gaussian blur.

Note - this includes one file for creating plots for the episode.

@thompson318 @davecash75 - I made a new version of the 'filters and thresholding' episode incorporating your comments. Could you take another look and approve or request changes?

I've made sure it uses the gray colormap throughout to make it easier to compare different masks/filters
