Alt-Tab on some occasions prevents game from loading up again. Might be related to Deck Tracker #639

I don't have exact steps to recreate, sorry but it just happened when the tracker was not rendering the overlay. I would alt-tab, and the overlay would pop up on screen for a second and then whenever I tried to alt-tab back into the game nothing would happen.

I think that I know how to repro this bug:

  1. Start HDT and Hearthstone
  2. Enable the note window auto pop-up feature (which will show a note window after each game)
  3. Start a game and finish it
  4. After the note window pops up and before you come back to the hearthstone main menu, click "OK" on that window
  5. The game should be minimized, and you can never restore that window.

I will make sure again later, but I'm 80 percent sure about that.

Thanks for the info, Epix.

I was using the task manager to re-maximize the Hearthstone window, but fullscreen windowed should work better.

I also believe this is related to the automatic note feature. When it pops up it causes hearthstone to minimize and then be unable to be opened again. It is absurd how upset I let this make me get lol. So for now im going to disable the auto note pop up. I do have two monitors somehow maybe its related to that?

This issue also happens to me with the automatic note feature disabled.

Are you still experiencing this? It has been likely fixed.
