Cards that summon minions and give them Rush will give Rush even when the minions are not summoned #1137

Reported with Captain Hooktusk and The Boomship. Also not all of the minions always got Rush, possibly the first minion is handled differently.

Hi

I was even rogue on wild ranked when I had what I think is a bug. I search quickly but cant find anyone who encountered it yet.

I had an empty board so I wanted to play hooktusk. I high rolled on spiders at the start of my turn with 4 consecutives draws, leaving my side with only 3 minion spots. I play hooktusk anyway, summoning only two pirates, one bloodsail raider and the 1/1 rush monkey. I trade his dirty rat with both, my weapon and i think a backstab.

The mage then proceed to blizzard (it killed my raider) and ping hooktusk. I draw my second bloodsail raider, play it and to my surprise, she had rush ! I can’t find any other explanation that she was the third pull from captain hooktusk battlecry... but could not enter play due to a full board. Does anyone can find another explanation ?

It seems that Captain Hooktusk definitely has a bug. https://imgur.com/9qb0m68

But I don’t know why only 2 bloodsail raiders gain rush.

Thanks for the report Contrevents and Doublade!

We confirmed it is indeed happening with both Captain Hooktusk and The Boomship. We suspect that Rush is still being granted to the minion even if the board is found to be full. That would explain why it still has Rush when you play it afterward.
