(I've seen, but didn't save, other reports similar to this in the past, so it's probably an old bug.)
It can also happen with Entomb:
Confirmed in 4.1 for non-Entomb case:
Another report: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/46fs8g/bug_report_coliseum_manager/.
It's a visual bug despite the claim that it's not. I tested it and couldn't reproduce.
Confirmed in 5.0:
"Hello Patashu! I really respect your work and yesterday I stumbled upon a bug myself so I felt like reporting it. I played Defender of Argus on a Spawn of N'Zoth that then got Entombed by a priest. When he later played the card, it got the Taunt visual effect right when it got played, but didn't actually taunt. Imgur Proof: http://i.imgur.com/T8ZLivT "

Maybe it can happen with frozen too?
I think this is related to #70, but for some reason doesn't happen consistently. Entomb reports with modified stats/damaged minions were happening consistently before, but have been fixed since then, so I removed them from both issues (kept only divine shield reports). Currently, the minion is changed to "vanilla" just before it enters the opponent's deck, but for some reason occasionally doesn't get removed its Divine Shield or Taunt (probably other tags too).
Confirmed 5.2
Confirmed in current patch with added Deathrattle: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/4vx6bv/can_we_talk_about_entomb_visual_bugs/.
Confirmed in 6.1.14830 (with replay!):

If a minion that does not normally have them is granted Divine Shield and or Taunt, bounced to the hand (such as by Youthful Brewmaster or Sap) and replayed, it may erroneously display the visual effect of having Divine Shield/Taunt. It does not actually have them, and gameplay proceeds normally.
It can also happen with Entomb - in particular, there are reports of Divine Shield or Taunt being erroneously displayed if it was granted to a minion before being Entomb:
