Blizzcon Choice Arena: Hand of Salvation revives non-minion cards #916

Enemy kills 2 of my minions by Betrayal/Blizzard. Gateway Kodo returns the first minion to my hand, and then Hand of Salvation returns Gateway Kodo to my hand.

From Gateway Kodo in hand and the record tooltip we can see this is not a visual bug.

Another report says his Hand of Salvation revives Vinecleaver, but he did't screenshot it.

In all cases Redemption or Getaway Kodo was involved. My guess would be that they implemented a special case for when a card is moved to graveyard in the Death Phase of the first minion but don't check whether that card is a minion. If that's the case, killing a minion with Val'anyr buff while the opponent is holding a weapon should trigger Hand of Salvation, too (on the original weapon being moved from play to gy). That might explain the Vinecleaver case.

However, we may never get to play with hand of Salvation again (or at least not in the near future)
