8 years ago Make sure only the SMES in the engineering department are hooked up to the RCON consoles by default, then add a max and min button to the RCON consoles.
Discussion of this issue explained a few relevant points.
- We want to make sure engineers are likely to wander around configuring solars (in this case, SMES's).
- We want to make sure each department has work they can be doing.
- At the same time, we want to remove the unfun busy work from configuring every, single, SMES, at 250000 and 150000.
- We intend to add the work of doing maintenance on solars and dealing with the destruction our events will likely cause.
For now, all of this is a tenuous balance. Best kept by leaving solar SMES out of RCON, and making the (non-cross-department) engineering SMES's easier to mass-configure.
A user has requested Minimum and Maximum buttons for the RCON console, so they don't have to enter these numbers repeatedly. The remote button-pushing game is strong.
