So, the core of this issue is a device which brings patients back to life without the use of cloning, since people have a hard time fitting cloning into the round well, for many reasons. In theory, this device will give you 30 minutes after death to be found and revived, during which you'll take a steady amount of brain damage. 200 brain damage after 30 minutes is an IC justification for the OOC clock on respawn, which is your effective timeframe to return to the round as crew. Minding, you can always be respawned or put in an antag before your body is recovered, and admins can rejuv you if there's shenanigans relating to the death.
So, the defib-like device is an MD-carried device which revives a dead person back into crit, and gives them an amount of brain damage relative to the time spent dead. It gets around the awkward cloning RP that never winds up happening because dead people were involved in things going down, or need to get back to their jobs (e.g. dying from rads in the SM room during a delamination.)
As a separate issue, we'll be moving cloning off-site and using it for custom staff events, when we can actually play up the horror of cloning. An RD or similar can order/build the components of and craft a cloning pod/console/scanner, but it won't be the natural default option for medical crew.
Code is medium difficulty here, spriting is probably going to be simple/easy. We just want, a box-looking thing, which doesn't animate or anything. Held sprite optional. Feel free to get creative in regards to how it revives people and what it looks like. Fluff is k, and we don't have a name or description for it, just the mechanics... and the express statement that it is not a defibrilator, because not every person can be revivified using a heart-shocker, but this reverts all (most?) forms of death.
Also, we'll want to ponder what forms of death this doesn't revert, and how exactly this puts you back in crit. Does it only remove oxy damage? Does it detox as well, cleanse any burns, seal bleeding wounds? Can it revert a husk without genetics? We can discuss those, but it's not critical; the base device which simply reverts any dead person and sets their healths to crit in some reasonable fashion(s) is sufficient.
Neat feature option: MD's would need to "fix" the body before reviving it, by processing it to remove toxins, seal wounds, salve burns, save the genetics - and only then can they "shock" them to remove all oxy damage and see if the patient stabilized off of it.
For the pending EMT (Emergency Medical Team)
