small NNUE weight ? #5

hi, congratulations with the new NNUE version 4.0.0 ! I successfully compiled it and its file size is 2.1 Mb .. your previous version (without NNUE and without any version number) was 1.9 Mb, so the NNUE weight file is rather small .. not 20 Mb like most NNUE i find !?

i see no UCI option to disable the NNUE evaluation .. does the strength of Weiawaga fully depend on NN now ?

Hi, version 4.0 isn't NNUE. I only pushed NNUE for the first time today, so there isn't any release version with it included yet. You're right that it doesn't include that many weights compared to other engines, but the NNUE feature is still in early stages and so that may change in the future. Still, it should be ~200 Elo stronger than the 4.0 release. Right now I'm still making optimizations to the network and so there probably won't be another release until I'm satisfied with that.
