First of all, we have tested the JKI EasyXML a lot and have never encountered problems with that package.
Second, yes you can get rid of it if you are able to make a package with those 4 VIs. We would welcome that very much, as it would be open source and most of all free. However, that package is not easy to make. You need to spend time on that and verify it's working well. But it would be very interesting to make an open source package that takes in a variant of any type and parses (fast) the XML and vice versa. Let me know if you start working on that and would be open to help you out where needed.

You can't get past the splash...and if it works or not is quite random.
Ok, wait. You take two separate things in one bug report.
The thing you mention now is the VIPM, which indeed can be buggy. I had that problem too. In general what I learned is that they have stable and less-stable releases. Just uninstall everything and try a new version. And if the newest doesn't work, try an older version. I can send you some other versions if you need them.
Okay, I agree but you can't have one without the other though...
Is it possible to get rid of JKI and EasyXML completely? They crash every time, its impossible to get past the splash screen in my case.
