Images recorded by the AIA instrument have been changing brightness since launch. Since the processing pipeline for those images has stayed the same the JPEG2000 images have consequently changed brightness. Brightness compensation functions for the AIA JPEG2000 color tables should be created. Probably these functions should be applied by default in the helioviewer.org pipeline, with the ability to switch it on/off in advanced movie/image production options.
