Add ASL Altitude beside GPS coord as a text box #5

It is critical that we have somewhere called out to note altitude for private and public sites. Altitude is a very critical consideration when planning a day of adventure using Helipaddy. Many of us operate in high-density altitude (factor of altitude and temperature), high altitude environments.

eg. A site is 5,200' ASL (Above Sea Level), and the temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. I now know I can not operate on that site with four passengers today. I could if the temp is 22 degrees, but not 30. Having a non-mandatory attribute Altitude Above Sea level is universal, and the value is not subject to change.

A nice to have would be to source if when you grab the GPS. But just having the field on the UI is perfect.

We have discussed displaying the altitude at some length as it is possible to derive it from the coordinates. Our concern is whether Helipaddy is the right tool for this kind of decision-making. The reason is that there are NOTAMs which also affect the site availability. At the moment we expect pilots to use the "send to Foreflight" (or Skydemon etc) button and view the waypoint created in Foreflight.

I hear you, but go no go. Decision is very much premised on altitude to have to round-trip to ForeFlight is a lot extra work if I’m pawing through say five or six sites.  Step one is altitude/performance depending on density altitude. Step rwo in flight planning is endurance/range.Step three is temporary flight restrictions TFRStep four is NOTAMS Step five is whether and PIREPsWhy not out of toggle in settings. On Oct 4, 2023, at 4:23 AM, Paddy Wills @.***> wrote: We have discussed displaying the altitude at some length as it is possible to derive it from the coordinates.
