Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. No. It would just be more convenient and faster.

Describe the solution you'd like Edit the layout instantly, without having to copy it. Just like the layouts of symbols, functional keys, etc.

Use case Quick layout editing. Usually when you want to make a minor change to the layout.

Describe alternatives you've considered (if any) Copy the layout, then edit.

If someone wants to create a UI for that it's fine. In the end the layout will need to be copied and added to the list anyway, just the copy doesn't need to be done explicitly.
