Android / Hyper OS freezing when typing in Perplexity AI app

Describe the bug As of the latest version I am experiencing slowdown of the entire OS when I attempt to type in the Perplexity AI app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ai.perplexity.app.android&hl=en_US). Typing 1-2 letters allows me to kill the application in time, but keeping on typing freezes the phone to the point I have to reboot the system. This does not happen with stock keyboard app.

To Reproduce Install Perplexity app and attempt to type a query

App version 2.2 (F-Droid)

Device:

• Model: Xiaomi Mi 14
• OS: Android 14, stock Hyper OS

Can't reproduce on another phone. Same issue with FlorisBoard, Gboard appears to be the only one working correctly. I blame Perplexity AI.
