Possibility of using custom emoji packs #809

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Inability to use newer emojis on phones with outdated emojis.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add a function to be able to load an external emoji pack to be used instead of the system emojis. This could be useful on phones whose emojis are outdated, and thus be able to load the most recent versions of your favorite emojis

Use case

With this function you could download an emoji pack updated with the latest Unicode standards, and also being able to load the pack you want, it can be a good customization addition. Note that this would not be done within the app, the app could only load previously downloaded files

Sounds like your request is covered in #297, or is it something different?

it something different?

I have read the issue and yes, it is very similar. Although from what I understood the other proposal proposes that the emojis be in the app, I propose that they not be, that they be downloaded separately by the user and can be loaded to the keyboard, so the base size of the app would not be affected. Something similar to what we already do with dictionaries and gesture writing

But of course, I'm not a programmer so I don't know if I'm asking for the impossible. But in theory it's possible, right? I remember seeing another open source keyboard that did it, although they had the emojis inside the app. Also, the Microsoft keyboard gives the option to not use the system emojis and use Google emojis updated with the latest unicode standards. So in theory there are precedents. Although of course, I'm talking about freedom of choice.
