Omnibus pull request including

• Configurable config distributions
• Simplified beta spectra code
• .speck writing
• Improved DAQ memory handling, correct signal-plus-noise algebra: |S(f) + N(f)|^2
• Misc. cleaning

I feel good that it basically works. Some things are incomplete, knowing the changes that we plan to make

Willing to discuss/ address anything now vs. as they come up. I think this is a reasonable jumping off point for you to do the changes to segmentBuilder
