MTP does not fully work (if it is about) #153

What i discribe is not new : this has always been since MTP runs on the Volla.

MTP works in the sense that the UT Volla is well recognized by my ubuntu 20.04 laptop.

It is indeed possible to transfer files from the laptop to the UT Volla.

But, from the laptop, it is not possible to transfer (move) files which are in a directory of the Volla, towards another directory of the Volla. We can believe that it works by seeing the screen of the laptop. But by closing the file manager of the laptop and re-opening ir, or with the file manager of the Volla, we actually see that the files have not moved from place to place.

Can you verify this?

With my Volla under Volla OS, all operations are possible from the Laptop.

Just a little update on this, https://gitlab.com/ubports/development/core/mtp which is the current MTP server on almost every device (except Volla Phone X23 / possibly other newer Android 12+ ports manually choosing to integrate it currently due to new kernels no longer providing the legacy /dev/mtp_usb interface) is being planned for retirement perhaps with Ubuntu Touch based on 24.04 where https://github.com/viveris/uMTP-Responder will ideally replace it if I can manage to make it work everywhere :)
