Notifications issue #159

Since updating from 12 to 13, notifications crash or stop currently playing media apps. After i updated to android 13, when i receive a notification (email, sms etc), my media app will crash, and i need to close and reopen in order to resume plackback. Ive tried multiple different apps and they all behave the same..

ive looked at various sound settings, but nothing seems to help.

What do you mean by a media app? Please describe the steps to reproduce.

It appears to be the notification sound.

Any app i use that plays media, The apps that i have currently seen this in are as follows Newpipe Grayjay Metro Player Telegram Any playing audio or video. And in browsers VLC player (will continue to play audio, but the video freezes)

I will be watching a video and then receive an sms, telegram message or email. The notification sound will then crash or stop the playing video, the apps themselves seems to behave like they are still playing, so if you pause and play sometimes they resume, sometimes you need to close the app and reopen before they are able to play audio or video again. If the phone is put into silent or vibrate this issue does not occur.

This is a new issue, it didnt happen before the update to 13.
