PATCH: CMD checks MODELS_PATH exists #42

A crash reported in [I38] occured due to an erroneous MODELS_PATH.

An assert statement now checks the validity for MODELS_PATH and if the check fails the DEBUGGING ASSISTANT offers some troubleshooting help.
