design 5v/3v regulator #2

5v takes about 2-3A and needs to be switched from 12V, 3v milliamps and be regulated linearly from the 5V

s/3v/3.3v/ for the 5V for example TPS5450DDAG4 could be a good choice

Note that due to regenerative braking we can have major spikes (up to 30V) in the battery line, this means we really need a very wide range regulator (and even then a zener is probably a good idea)
