Emerald Launcher is very promising app and I would like to propose some improvements.
In many languages, it is easier to search without using accent mark and I have found that the search engine distinguishes them.
Also, I think it would be very useful to add the category manager in the 3-dots menu for faster access. And I have tried the option to invert the font color with the dark theme and I see that the text changes the dark shadow to a light one that I think it makes the text less clear.
