Several people have asked in the OpenHAB Community forum thread for this addon to be merged upstream into OpenHAB Addons. It would be good to replace the existing cloud-dependent Envoy addon given this new implementation offers significant functionality improvements, local network reliability and easier configuration.
On the above community forum thread someone offered to submit a PR with permission from @HentschelT. That was in September 2019, so maybe they've moved on to other things by now. Similarly I would be happy to make a copy into my own repo and submit it for PR, working through the reviews that will follow if @HentschelT has no objections.
Can Thomas please let us know his preferences in this regard? If Thomas would prefer to prepare a PR himself, or for it not to be merged at all, that's of course fine too.
