Adding solutions crashes/closes visual studio instance. #6

I recently installed this extension on my work development machine, upon added some groups I began to search for solutions to add to each group. However, every time I attempt to add a solution to a group the visual studio instance crashes/closes.

Also, I tried doing a COMPLETE clean uninstall of visual studio hoping it was just a bad install. However, when I reinstall everything including the extension. All the previous groups I added initially are still there.

So in addition to my plight above, could anyone tell me where the group's settings for this extension are stored so that I may attempt a clean uninstall of the extension.

Vs-Version: 2010 SP1 Windows 7 Enterprise - SP1 Solution Start Page - ver.2.2

@abj-dev : If you could provide any error message, I'd be glad to fix the error. If not, I'm going to close this issue within 72 hours.

To answer your question about the settings location: C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\VS20XY_SolutionStartPage.settings

Hi Herdo, thanks for the information about the settings. Do you know where the error would be logged in this scenario? When I click on "Add Solution" and select a solution both the file chooser window and the entire visual studio instance closes without ANY error, pretty much like if I clicked on the red X button to close visual studio manually. I know, it's really weird.

@abj-dev Hey, I don't have logging implemented myself right now. So the only point for you to find a log file would be the Visual Studio log file. Please take a look inside it and tell me, if you find anything usefull! :)
