I tried formats none, text and plain -- all they highlight words "for", "static", "and", "in"

I just gave it a spin on my side with text and it worked fine. My guess is that you have a space between the `` and thetext`.

I see no space image not even non-printable -- I move the cursor char by char and there is nothing in between.

Oh wait. Interesting. When I changed none to text and pressed "View" it was colored. But when I pressed Publish, now colors are gone.

Huh, thanks for letting me know. I'll look into it :)

There is a possibility that I really pressed "View" while in fact you have to press the "preview" button at the bottom.
Just made a post after a month delay and during the post-editing found myself doing this mistake and wondering while the change does not work.

Maybe rename the button from "View" to "View published"?

That's not a bad idea. I'll give it some thought. Thanks for the suggestion 👍
