Today's update causes Hermes to fail to load Pandora library of stations #147

After the update from today, my stations library is empty. I've restarted Hermes, and also signed out and back in of Pandora through Hermes. I've also gone to Pandora.com and signed in and out to check on my stations, and they are all there. Right now, Hermes is dead in the water. What can I try?

Any update on this issue? Am I the only one :/

alexcrichton commented 11 years ago

I'm curious what you're seeing, because it's definitely working for me alright. Could you check Console.app and see if anything suspicious is popping up there? If you were rate limited for a day for some reason that also should have gone away by now as well...

Hi Alex:

Here is what I see after I launch:

And if I log out and back in again, I get the same thing. Cmd-R doesn't do anything.

I have Pandora One subscribed through iTunes and there has not been an issue at all up until I updated.

I just got this after trying once more. I see this every several attempts at logging in:

What else can I try?

Here is console log after logging in via Hermes since 2:05 after relaunches and screen caps, set to show all messages:

Thoughts? Any other logs you want to see?

Best, Doug

I have a feeling that there supposed to be images attached there, but it looks like github has done away with them?

There, those images posted this time.

Can you try this build and see what happens? It should have a lot more debug output in the console associated with it

dbonneville commented 11 years ago

Tried it. Here is the output from console:

The song history is gone, but the stations show up now. Does it read the Pandora history, or the history of songs played in the app?

Song history is stored in a local file, and that may have just gotten corrupted at some point.

dbonneville commented 11 years ago

I flipped back to my original installed version and now it logs right in, no Pandora error, and it works. Will that Pandora error come back? Not sure what changed after running the dev build…a preference file or something?

Huh, I'm not entirely sure. I'd figure that some local file got corrupted, but I'm not entirely certain... It shouldn't come back, but if it does feel free to reopen!

dbonneville commented 11 years ago

Perfect. Thx!
