Audio quality degredation #205

Hello,

I notice a reduction in the quality/bitrate of songs over time. One song will be playing with relatively high quality, but then the next song will be potato quality (the voice track is as loud as/louder than the music and the music is muffled). It definitely sounds like the bitrate is dropping. Does Hermes auto-correct the quality of the audio based on internet connection or connectivity? I understand that Pandora streaming bitrate isn't the highest quality, but a song will play early in the day sounding one way and then replay hours later sounding like a very low bit rate. I'm using a new (2014) 15" MBP. Thanks!

+1 I've just tried Hermes for the first time today, and even after switching audio quality to high, lowering the volume on the app, and having Pandora premium, the audio quality is lower than from Pandora.

I'm logging too and waiting for a drop in audio quality but haven't had it happen yet. Maybe this is related to the update that just went out? I listen to music for ~8 hours at work almost every day. Sometimes I can go most of the day without having the issue, but sometimes it will happen within the first hour and I switch over to Spotify which sounds fine (so it's not my internet connection or headphones). The drop in quality has happened numerous times so I know I'm not being crazy or it's some one-off glitch. Either way, I still love Hermes and it's amazing that it's free so I thank you for your hard work! I'll submit a log if I have a drop in audio quality.

Here you go! I was playing without logging and noticed the drop in quality. I restarted with logging and the sound quality was still bad so here's the resulting log. I played and skipped through a few songs and they all sounded bad:

Is this still happening? I have better debug messages in 1.2.8 and later which should help to troubleshoot this further, if it is still a problem.
