It is an unfortunate limitation of the original Tasks design that:
- it reads properties and tag from the end of the line backwards
- until it finds anything that is neither a property not a tag
- and then it stops reading

We are tracking this as a feature request in:
But there are currently no plans to work on it, so it is likely to stay the same behaviour for some time.
I have made an issue at obsidian-tasks but there might be something that can be done by this plugin also. https://github.com/obsidian-tasks-group/obsidian-tasks/issues/2178
If there are date markers the todoist tag should be added before the day markers not after them at the end.
