I would also like to see this. I think the easiest way to do this is like how Gamehub handles it, by using Itch's official Butler utility in daemon mode. I might be wrong, but it looks like it wouldn't be any harder than it was to implement Nile, as all the parts related to actually interfacing Itch.io would be handled already.

The interesting thing is that the folks over on the itch Git are looking for something similar to be officialy implemented. But I think HGL has the potential to expand it's portfolio by including it.

I'll also add that I've tried using itch's Linux client on a Steam Deck, but as mentioned in the linked issue, it doesn't allow me to download the Windows version of games. (And many games only have a Windows version.) I had some success with running the Windows version of itch through proton, and then manually adding the downloaded executables to Steam, but that's an onerous process.
I'm impressed by what Heroic team can do for GOG/Amazon/Epic, and if itch.io support were added, then that would be all my non-Steam game libraries accessible via the same interface.
+6 yay! i would love this feature _

+8 itch.io's flatpak is broken to an extent and doesn't let me sign in, it is over 2 years since the last update. plus i love the simplicity of the heroic launcher.
+9 The official itch.io client still has no support for wine in any way, which limits it quite a lot.
+10 Same as above, the official itch client only supports platform-specific titles
+11 Another in the heroic toolbelt is welcome
+12 Need to explore those bundles
+14, I have a backlog I wish to install in my Deck
My brothers, could we please just upvote/emote react to this issue so those of us subscribed to this thread for actual progress updates (or actually useful info) don't just get constantly notified of bumps? This might also annoy the devs themselves 😕

Although Itch has a native Linux client, it would be nice to see it integrated into Heroic. The possibility of support has been mentioned here. Fortunately, Itch is quite open, so we don't have to start from scratch.
